Mysore Pak was first crafted in the royal kitchen of the Mysore Palace over a century ago. A happy accident. A confectioner experimenting with sugar, besan and ghee, and a legend was born.
At World of Mysore Pak, we carry that same spirit. Every batch is made with the reverence of a craft passed down through generations, using the same three core ingredients, and nothing more.

In the year 1935, on the command of His Highness Maharaja Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar, the royal chef Kakasura Madappa was asked to prepare a sweet delicacy for a royal feast.

Enthralled by the Maharaja's request, Kakasura Madappa began preparing a sweet using ingredients found in the royal kitchen. The ones he chose were besan, sugar and ghee.

Little did he know, that day in the royal kitchen, this simple trio of besan, sugar and ghee would create a timeless treasure. An extraordinary sweet that would go on to become the pride of Mysore and earn its title as “The King of Sweets”.

The Maharaja tasted it and knew instantly that this creation was too special to be confined to the palace walls. “Let all of Mysuru experience this wonder,” he declared. Thus, Mysorepak made its way to the world.
